Thirsty Thursday: His and Her Cocktails

One of our favorite things about planning a beverage menu with couples, besides offering up recommendations for local brews and wines, is the creation of signature cocktails. Specifically, for this post, we want to feature our latest 'His' and 'Hers' cocktails: the Cinnamint Julep and an Autumn Margarita.

Cocktails that can be representative of the newlywed's personalities are always a fun twist on an otherwise turnkey bar set up - beer, wine, maybe some spirits, and sodas. It also allows for the couple to choose their favorite drink to enjoy the entire evening, while family and friends can share in the experience of creating a cocktail for themselves. 

The inventors of the Kentucky Mint Julep and Cranberry Margarita cocktails wanted to use fresh ingredients, and have made-to-order drinks for their guests. Our recipe, which you can recreate at home, included the following:

Cinnamint Mint Julep
Kentucky Bourbon (2.5 oz)
Cinnamon simple syrup (0.5 oz)
Splash of lime juice 
Fresh mint garnish 
Fresh cinnamon stick garnish

Autumn Margarita 
​Tequila (1.5 oz)
Orange Juice (0.25 oz)
Cranberry Juice (0.25 oz)
Triple sec (0.5 oz)
Cranberry simple syrup (.5 oz)
Fresh orange wedge for garnish
Fresh cranberries
