The South is rich in history, natural beauty, and hospitality. A venue that boasts all three? Evergreen Plantation. I was happy to first stumble upon the property at one of Wedding Festival’s recent shows in Greenville. After meeting their event coordinator, Jessica, and heading out to see the venue for myself, this is what I found… History. Evergreen Plantation is nearly two centuries old! Since the early 1800’s the home has stood on South Carolina soil and maintained its charm each passing year. In the 1990’s, the home was restored along with other buildings on the property to host a family member’s wedding. What a great idea it was because since then, the plantation has hosted events for family and friends and is now inviting the public to join in on the opportunity. Natural Beauty. The Upstate’s newest event venue is tucked away upon acres and acres of beautiful land. It’s truly the perfect setting for a wedding ceremony, corporate hunt, or even just a relaxing family reunion. Not only is the Antebellum House gorgeous on its own, but the whole area is quite breathtaking! Take note of the unique pieces in the restored Carriage House and Lodge including an amazing tree trunk table and vintage chandelier.
Hospitality. Where would a Southern event venue be without impressive hospitality? At Evergreen Plantation you’ll find that any event you’re planning is worth having there. The 7,300 sq. foot Lodge is the focal point for events providing a fully equipped commercial kitchen, towering fireplace, house sound system, stage area, a large “barnyard door” to open up the space to the outdoors, and so much more. Oh, and bonus: Jessica is super sweet. No doubt that she will make sure your event is perfect! Take a look at the photos and see this triple threat venue for yourself!
