We just wrapped up the winter 2015 Wedding Festivals season a few weeks ago and are happy to say that we finished with not only a handful of new couples, but we met FOUR new Upstate wedding venues! It's great to see the industry grow here in our region and see the variety of available options flourish. We met with each of these unique venues and love what we saw and heard. Keep reading to find out more! The Music Camp - Tucked into the quaint northern woods of Spartanburg sits the beautifully secluded venue, The Music Camp. The Music Camp, located just off I-85, offers the deep woods feel for those adventurous couples, and still allows guests to be close to the city if need be. This venue appeals to so many looking to get married in a unique space, offers the natural outdoors as a backdrop, and provides a rich history from the Revolutionary War. With acres and acres of land, creeks, and woods, The Music Camp gives couples multiple locations on site to say “I do.” These locations include: The Greenfield Stage and Pavilion, which are located on top of the hill and give eclectic views, The Beach Chapel provides an awesome view of the Pacolet River and a fun place to sink your toes in the sand, Red Bird’s Nest, which is a secluded grove to present an intimate evening with your guests, as well as so many more natural areas to make your own. While enjoying the organic feel of the area, couples and their guests are welcome to camp on the grounds as well, turning the ‘big day’ into a big weekend! Not only can The Music Camp host weddings, but is a cool venue for corporate events, private parties, and you guessed it--music festivals. Ellery Farms - We're imagining awesome things to come from Ellery Farms. This elegant farmhouse is situated on a whole 37 acres of lush green rolling hills in Woodruff and has vintage decor elements that you are sure to swoon over. Built in 1920, the house has been redone in the last several years to accommodate special events. If your dream wedding involves sweeping views of the countryside, a wraparound porch, and Southern hospitality, then this is the venue for you. Rent the property for just your wedding day, the whole weekend (complete with lodging!), or just a photo session. Don't worry about a thing because many of the details are included such as chairs, tables, a tent, and so much more. If this isn't enough to convince you, the farm's owner Traci will. She is so sweet and willing to help in any possible to make your dreams come true. Hickory Hills Events - Advertised as Greenville's premier outdoor venue, this new event locale is indeed all outdoors. Choose from open grass, under the trees, or a large tent when creating your layout. There is a multitude of ways to make any event--weddings or corporate events alike--come to life. If you can believe it, this is all within the heart of Greenville, just outside the downtown limits! Close to shopping, hotels, and nightlife, Hickory Hill Events boasts the perfect spot for convenience. Renovations and construction are still in the works, but stay tuned to see what comes of this neat space. The Barn at Forevermore Farm - Searching for that genuine rustic Southern feel in a venue is something that may just take you out of the main city limits and right into Moore, South Carolina. The Barn at Forevermore Farm is located right in the heart of Moore but is only a 10 minute drive from I-85. Forevermore Farm is the home of an authentic Southern plantation; complete with the whitewashed farmhouse, the matching carriage house, and of course, the barn. The two-story barn is the centerpiece to this beautiful estate. Built in the 1930’s, it has been perfectly preserved for your wedding day. With plenty of space to house your guests, its own bar top, and a brand new deck, The Barn at Forevermore Farm is the ideal spot for your nuptials. While the barn itself is truly beautiful, we can’t forget to mention the rest of the grounds! With open fields and the barn’s backdrop, this venue creates the perfect setting for any of your engagement, bridal, or wedding day portraits. The carriage house also provides a space large enough to fit the biggest of bridal parties, with room for you and all of your bridesmaids to get ready. This new space has been such the talk of the town that they’ve recently been featured in Belle Magazine! So it’s safe to say that you would be in good hands over at Forevermore Farm.
