Your palms are sweaty and it’s getting hot under all the fancy fabric you’re wearing. There’s a lot more people here than you thought. Wow, can you do this…?
The answer is yes, you can and will make this toast perfect. Toasting newlyweds is a big task. It’s the norm for the father of the bride, maid of honor, and best man to give toasts, but anyone else close to the couple can offer kind words as well. Again, it’s not easy. The South is rich in history, natural beauty, and hospitality. A venue that boasts all three? Evergreen Plantation. I was happy to first stumble upon the property at one of Wedding Festival’s recent shows in Greenville. After meeting their event coordinator, Jessica, and heading out to see the venue for myself, this is what I found…
History. Evergreen Plantation is nearly two centuries old! Since the early 1800’s the home has stood on South Carolina soil and maintained its charm each passing year. In the 1990’s, the home was restored along with other buildings on the property to host a family member’s wedding. What a great idea it was because since then, the plantation has hosted events for family and friends and is now inviting the public to join in on the opportunity. |
