FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you put out tip jars?
We never put out tip jars at an event unless it is a cash bar. An 18% gratuity is added to all service packages for the staff.
Can We SUPPLY OUR OWN ALCOHOL?
It used to be very common for a client to provide their own alcohol at their event to help save money. However, with our pricing structure and package options, it's actually about .50-1.00 per guest cheaper to let us provide a full-service package, which includes all your alcohol, bartenders, equipment and ice. With this option we also take care of all the state alcohol permitting and provide the alcohol liability insurance coverage that's needed. Not to mention, it's easier for you to have us supply and set it all up! Due to liability reasons, we are not able to allow our clients to provide their own alcohol.
what do i have to do to book liquid catering?
Booking us is very easy. First either call us or contact us for a quote. Once we have all your event details, we'll send you a proposal that you'll review. If everything looks good we just need a 25-50% deposit and signed agreement that you can sign electronically to reserve your date. It's that easy!
What methods of payment do you take?
We take cash, checks, electronic checks and credit cards. Checks can be mailed to PO Box 465, Greenville SC, 29602. If you would like to pay by electronic check or credit card, please email our Bookkeeper and she will send you an invoice with a pay link.
Is Liquid CATERING INSURED?
Yes, we are completely insured with a $1,000,000 policy + a $3,000,000 umbrella. If you get a full-service package, you and your guests are covered under our insurance as well. Our employees are also covered under our worker’s compensation insurance. Please note that if you are providing your own alcohol, you as the host will be held responsible for any accidents or incidents that may arise. That is why we recommend that you order one of our full-service packages and let us provide the alcohol.
what kind of alcohol service policies do you have?
We have multiple policies in place to ensure your guests have a great time, but don't get intoxicated to a dangerous level. We have several policies you will have to agree to when signing a contract with us:
- We do not serve shots. We may do a signature shot as a toast if ordered, but generally speaking we don't want people drinking too many shots too fast.
- We DO NOT serve minors. All guests must be able to present a valid, legal ID in order to consume alcohol. We are happy to accept a Driver's License, Passport (US or foreign) , State ID or a Military ID from your guests. So sorry, but we do not accept Birth Certificates, Student ID's, Facebook photos or Voter Registration cards as a valid form of ID.
- We will only serve one guest up to drinks at a time. If they order additional drinks, we will assist them with getting them back to their table and distributed to other guests. At Last Call we will only serve one drink per person.
- We do not hand out sealed bottles or alcohol "to-go".
- We do not allow guests to bring in their own alcohol, this includes mini bottles or flasks.
- We will certainly discontinue service to a guest if our bartenders determine they are intoxicated.

Yes! We love to help you customize specialty cocktails. We are happy to craft a recipe for you for a small fee, or use your own recipe. You can even name your cocktail yourself.
Can you cater our food?
Liquid Catering specializes in providing a top-shelf bar experience, therefore we like to focus on the drinks and let a food catering company handle the meal. We have some amazing caterers in the are, you can view our list of favorites here.
Do we get to keep the leftover alcohol?
No, per state regulation, Liquid Catering will remove and keep all the leftover alcohol at the conclusion of the event. Plus, we bring way more product than we quote you for to ensure you don't run out.
Will you run out of alcohol?
We will carefully calculate how much alcohol we need to supply for your event. In the event we do run out of something, we will do everything we can to replace that item. Don't worry about "drinking too much", we have yet to have that happen!
can you provide additional event staffing?
Yes, aside from bartenders, Liquid Catering can book cocktail servers, bar backs, coat checks, greeters, caterers, event managers and any other staffing needs you might have. We also have a sister company, Bravo1 Protection, and can book your security guards.
My catering company also provides bar service, why should i use you?
Liquid Catering specializes in event bartending services. While your caterer focuses on food, drinks are all we do, so let us focus on that. We do work with all catering companies, so even if they offer bar service, you can still use us for that element. Plus, we usually offer a more diverse menu and better prices than most catering companies!
What time will you arrive to set-up?
Depending on the size of the event, we will arrive 45 minutes-2 hours prior to the event start time. Plan on 30-90 minutes for clean-up time.
How do i calculate the number of guests?
In order to order the right amount of product, a firm headcount is required seven days before your party. If your event is open to the public and you are unsure of the amount of people who will attend, then we can issue wristbands and will bill you for the actual # of guests or the given estimate, whichever is higher. Guests under 21 will be charged for soda service so we can provide them with non-alcoholic drinks.
What will your staff wear?
Our standard uniform is all-black, however, if you have a special request, we will try to make it work. We love to match themes whenever possible!
