We love Pinterest! It’s such a great place to get inspired. Our page has boards featuring different types of cocktails, fun bar set-ups, themed events…even DIY options for what to do after you finish another bottle! So give us a follow for a stream of awe-inspiring and unique ideas! Here are 5 of our favorite pins of the springtime.
Celebrities are notorious for often over-selling their personal brand in ludicrous areas. Think Kardashian Silly Bandz. Many of these superstars appear alongside alcohol in movies, TV shows, music, and publicized parties so often that they naturally drift toward putting their own spin on the industry. Some celebrities have been met with defeat; Time Magazine argued that Donald Trump’s Trump Vodka was definitely NOT “Success Distilled,” but many celebrities have found great success. It might be fun to go on the hunt for these lesser known but way cool booze brands owned by celebrities.
We just wrapped up the winter 2015 Wedding Festivals season a few weeks ago and are happy to say that we finished with not only a handful of new couples, but we met FOUR new Upstate wedding venues! It's great to see the industry grow here in our region and see the variety of available options flourish. We met with each of these unique venues and love what we saw and heard. Maybe it stemmed from Mad Men or perhaps Pinterest’s bar cart craze has gotten the best of us… but there is no denying that at-home bar presentation has been stressed recently. From DIY carts to unique glassware, this is the latest and greatest way to impress your friends during the next dinner party. We've got all the functional fixings and pretty decor here at our warehouse for any event imaginable, but let's not forget about our personal bars too. So right before 5 o'clock on Friday hits we've rounded up a “manly bar” and a “girly bar” to inspire your weekend penchant for mixology.
I’m definitely not a vodka connoisseur. I love it’s nearly tasteless quality in a well-made cocktail, but when I’m mixing at home I usually end up with stragglers of the cheapest brands in plastic bottles that sit on my bar cart for weeks on end and remind me all too much of nail polish remover. So I began to look past vodka’s powers to make you think you can dance and onto some new uses…
When we have new interns in the office, we always explain our roles to them by saying that "we wear many hats". By this we mean that our sales manager is also handling human resources responsibilities. It also means that the business owner is swamped with bookkeeping while also trying to maintain the "big picture" of company growth. As a small company, full time employees take on a lot of tasks even if they're not in the official job description. As 2014 came to a close, we were lucky enough to hire Bethany Carter, a hospitality expert and new office manager to the Liquid Catering team.
We are so proud to announce that we are now offering beer selections from Palmetto Brewery! Flash back to Euphoria weekend serving as the festival's beverage sponsor: We first met the folks at Palmetto during Friday's big event, Taste of the South, and then continued to see them pop up throughout the weekend. This brewery has it all--rich history, superb staff, and obviously some really great brews.
So here's the deal. We have one more pair of tickets to give away for our Halloween party, 6 Feet Under: A Party To Die For. You want them, we've got 'em. Here's how to come out on top:
It's officially fall time and there's no better season to bring out the craft brews. More specifically, pumpkin ales! If you have never tried one, well...you're missing out. If you and your friends frequently sip on such seasonal selections, let us help you become the go-to person for pumpkin beer knowledge.
Pumpkin beer isn't new. Nope, sure isn't! The use of pumpkin in beer dates back to colonial times when settlers couldn't get their hands on enough barley so instead used other raw materials such apples, corn, molasses, and of course, pumpkin.
Your palms are sweaty and it’s getting hot under all the fancy fabric you’re wearing. There’s a lot more people here than you thought. Wow, can you do this…?
The answer is yes, you can and will make this toast perfect. Toasting newlyweds is a big task. It’s the norm for the father of the bride, maid of honor, and best man to give toasts, but anyone else close to the couple can offer kind words as well. Again, it’s not easy. All eyes on you–and what to say? It’s got to be just the right amount of funny and sentimental. After catering countless weddings and serving up champagne toasts to bridal parties, we know the struggle you’re going through. Instead of hearing crickets and staring out at blank stares, we’re here to give you toasting tips that will instead have you hearing laughter and seeing tears!
Not only do we love a great cocktail, but we love to share our recipes, event planning tips, interesting beverage news, and so much more!
